"After running into you at the Rep and hearing of
your visit to Cafe Provence, decided to give it a try.  Took my wife/mother-in-law/ daughter/son/son's girlfriend there last Saturday.
Food was very good.  The 2 wines we had (a pinot gris and a syrah) were fabulous and modestly priced.      What was most striking was that my wife and I both ordered the "lamb chop" which turned out to be 3 very nicely-cooked and exceptionally well-seasoned rib chops.  As soon as we saw the platters we were transported to France, July  2000, our first afternoon out on our way to Brittany after 2 weeks in Paris.  Stopped at a country cafe for lunch and gorged on a dinner remarkably similar to what we were served at Cafe Provence.  What a kick!"
