News from Chef Patrick Quillec
From Boston to San Diego, Puerto Rico to Sonoma California, the past years have been an amazing series of adventures, but I am happy to be home.
As an Executive Chef, I have work with small luxury Inn, French Bistro, large hotel and the past two years in a Farm to Table restaurant in California.
In May of 2010, I took a position of Executive Chef at French Garden Restaurant. The Bistro was on the edge of closing, needing a new vision and had gone through a succession of chefs since it opened, none of whom quite captured the vision of the owners.
Toward the end of 2011, Jeff Cox, the Author/Food Critic wrote:
"Now, and since last year, the kitchen has been in the hands of Executive Chef Patrick Quillec, and he is finally doing justice to that vision".
Back home in Prairie Village, as I reflect on the year 2011, I am proud to announce the "Guide Michelin" recognition of my work in their new 2012 San Francisco Guide and would like to extend my thanks & gratitude to the crew that assisted me in this endeavor.
It is now 2012 and Café Provence is where I plan to continue my award winning culinary journey along side my son and Chef de Cuisine Philip Quillec.
Come and visit us at Café Provence and taste what the Michelin Guide and many others have found "pleasing" and "most refined".
Happy New year,
Chef Patrick Quillec
